Recap Of London Fashion Week 2018
London Fashion Week 2018 took place last week and it did not disappoint. Some of the UK’s top designers were on hand to display what the near future of fashion will look like. Here is a quick recap of the week that everyone is still talking about.
Burberry Steals The Show
The Burberry show was really the highlight of London Fashion Week. Christopher Bailey saved the best for last with his collection’s final stroll down the catwalk. The show began with a flurry of flashing lights which eventually formed a beautiful rainbow – appropriate for a line designed to support LGBTQ communities. The breathtaking models wowed the crowd as they showed off similar rainbow outfits in all shapes and sizes.
Whenever Queen Elizabeth sits front row at the catwalk, she tends to steal the show. But beyond the Queen, other notable celebrities like Naomi Watts, Chelsea Clinton, and Keira Knightley were in attendance. Kate Moss drew a lot of eyeballs when she arrived at the Burberry show. The 44-year-old has stayed quiet these past few years, continuing on as one of the top models/fashion designers in the industry.
Panic At The Disco
There was one thing many outfits had in common at fashion week – they looked they were straight out of the 1970s. The French designer, Roland Mouret, seemed fully immersed in the decade that made disco popular. From the flashy coats to the army boots, the catwalk was filled with throwback looks that never seem to go out of style.
Halpern Does It Again
Fresh off winning the British Emerging Talent award, Michael Halpern unveiled his new line of womenswear. The line featured color with a side color topped with even more color! The majority of his designs looked like they were inspired by disco-generation as well. It’s safe to say Halpern’s collection won universal praise from the audience.
